Abstract

In December 2022, the combined year on year (yoy) inflation of the two cities in Lampung was 5.51 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.68. Bandar Lampung City's yoy inflation was 5.52 percent, with a CPI of 114.63 and Metro City's yoy inflation was 5.37 percent with a CPI of 115.09.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the indexes (inflation) for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group 4.91 percent; clothing and footwear group 4.57 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel group 1.88 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group 2.54 percent; health group 4.96 percent; transportation group 15.37 percent; recreation, sport and culture group 5.55 percent; education group 9.23 percent; group providing food and drink/restaurant 3.04 percent; and personal care and other services group 6.76 percent.
